CANDY MAKING CLASS

You can host or be a part of a candy making class.  

This is a hands on candy making class.  I provide the candy recipes and ingredients  and help as you make all my favorite candies.  I share tips that I have learned to make the process easy and successful.  You will learn to fix problems so that you can save ingredients.  

We will make fondant centers and hard candy.  The experience and tips you receive will give you the confidence and knowledge to make about any candy.  At the end of the class you will take home the candy you have made to share with your family and friends. 

The classes are available for scheduling Mon.-Sat. from Oct. 1st - April 30th.  I teach the classes in my home.  You can make arrangements to have classes taught at other locations in the following areas: Southeast Idaho, Salt Lake City or Vernal Utah and their surrounding areas.

                 CANDY MAKING CLASS (PARTY)

   After taking this class, you will have the knowledge and confidence to make homemade chocolates and candy.   This is a hands-on class where you are involved in making the candy.  I will guide you step by step through the process.  You will learn various tips to ensure success and also how to fix problems you may have.

The class is takes 2 days and lasts 3 hours each day.  I provide all the ingredients and recipes for the candies we will make.  You will take home the candy that you have made, to enjoy and share with your family. 

CLASS AGENDA

DAY 1: You will learn what equipment you need and how to calibrate a thermometer.  We will then make 2 different FONDANTS (melted cordial & cream fondant).  You can make any kind of CREAM CENTERS and CHERRY CORDIALS with these fondants.  We will then make CARAMEL, which will be used to make CARAMEL PRETZELS.  We will make TRUFFLES, TOFFEE, and BUTTERFINGERS.  We will learn how to roll the fondant by making FRESH BERRY CORDIALS. We will prepare all the centers for dipping.

DAY 2:  You will learn how to hand-dip with real chocolate.  You will learn tips to avoid blooming (white streaks in chocolate).  You will hand-dip your centers.  You will learn how to make BUTTER MINTS and take home all the candy you have made.  I will also share some of my other favorite recipes and ideas using Peter's chocolate.

HOSTING A CLASS

You can earn rewards by hosting a class.  The class is taught at my house and is $35.00 per person.  If I travel to a different location to teach the class, it is $45.00 per person.

The host’s responsibility is to arrange a class time with me and get 15 paying participants (host + 15 other participants).  The money must be collected and paid in advance. 

HOST REWARDS

The host has no charge for her class fee and can earn products for each class hosted.

1st class:  Host receives choice of (utensil package, candy making book, Brick of Peter's chocolate, or a candy making DVD set).

 

2nd class:  Host receives choice of any of above products or 8 qt. Pressure cooker or 18”x18” marble board.

3rd class:  Host receives (one product from the 1st class selection & one from the 2ond class selection) or a large marble board.
